Dr. Drew Blasco (she/her) is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Social and Behavioral Health in the School of Public Health at University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). Dr. Blasco completed her PhD in Public Health at New York University followed by a T32 postdoctoral fellowship at University of Michigan focused on the ethical, legal, and social implications (ELSI) of genetics/genomics funded by the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI). Her most recent research is seeking to better understand the perceived risks, benefits, and limitations of recently approved or emerging Alzheimer’s disease treatments including the implications for APOE genetic testing. More broadly, Dr. Blasco’s research interests include aging and Alzheimer’s disease, mental health, stigma related to health conditions, and global health.
