Dr. Catharine Wang is a Professor in the Community Health Sciences Department, and a Peter T. Paul Career Development Professor, at Boston University. . Her research has spanned across several areas including health communication/digital health, health literacy, public health genomics, and cancer care implementation and delivery. Dr. Wang has over 20 years of experience in studying the ethical, legal, and social implications (ELSI) of genomic advances. Her ongoing research continues to examine how underrepresented and vulnerable populations comprehend and engage with population-based efforts to facilitate greater access to genetic information and services.
