Quinn Waeiss, PhD, is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Stanford Training Program in ELSI Research (T32) at the Center for Biomedical Ethics and Research Affiliate with the McCoy Family Center for Ethics in Society. They hold a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Quinn’s research centers around how institutions and incentive structures shape (un)ethical research and processes for encouraging ethical and socially responsible research. This includes work on mitigating the foreseeable misuse of AI in biomedicine, developing experiential ethics tools/processes for researchers, and examining features of moral (dis)engagement among academic researchers.
